How To Get Iphone Apps On Android

Android is a powerful platform and it has plenty of great apps for almost every usage scenario, but some users may need to run iOS apps on their Android devices.

While the perfect solution to this problem would be to buy an Apple device to run iOS apps, this solution isn't budget-friendly.

With that being said, there are ways you can run iOS apps on your Android device without using a dedicated Apple product. And the best part is that you don't need a high-end Android device to run your favorite iOS app.

There are two simple ways for running iOS-based applications on your Android device, and I am going to explain both of them in detail, so keep reading.

Method #1: Using iOS emulator application

One of the easiest ways you can run iOS apps on the Android platform is by using an iOS emulator application called Cider. This app allows you to emulate an iOS application using the Android system.

The app isn't available on Google Play Store, so you will have to download its APK and sideload it. You need to enable application installation from unknown sources on your Android phone to install such apps. On most phones, you can just go to Settings > Security and enable "Allow the Device to Install Applications from Unknown Sources".

Once that's is enabled, follow the steps below to install and use the Cider app:

Step 1. Download the Cider APK file through the following link.

Step 2. Locate the APK file that you just downloaded through the file explorer app on your Android device, or simply tap the notification from the notification menu.

Step 3. Click the "Install" button and the app will take a few seconds to install.

Step 5. Now find the app named IOS EMULATOR in the app gallery and tap on it to access iOS apps.

Use iOS apps on Android using emulator

Now keep in mind that while I tested Cider on both newer and older Android versions and was able to run it smoothly, it does not support each and every device.

On top of that, if you are running Cider on a low ram device it can quickly eat up the ram memory and cause your device to lag significantly.

Method #2: Using Appetize.io Browser application

Unlike the previous method that used an Android app to give you access to iOS apps, this method uses a browser-based application known as Appetize.io.

This tool is basically a method for iOS app developers to test their applications even if they don't have an iOS device. However, with some basic technical knowledge, you can use this tool to access iOS apps right from your Android device's browser or even a Windows device.

However, keep in mind that you need a .zip or .tar.gz file containing the app bundle of the iOS app you want to run using Appetize.io. You can find them on APK Pure website.

Here is how you can use this browser application to run iOS apps:

Step 1. First, open the web browser on your Android device and open Appetize.io website.

Step 2. Now click on the menu button available in the top right corner to find the upload button.

Step 3. Upload the app bundle for the iOS file you want to run, and then go to the dashboard option to view your application.

Step 4. Now you should be able to run your iOS application through the virtual iOS device available on the Appetize.io web tool.

use Appetize.io

The best part about this online tool is that you can also use it to run Android applications as well by using the .APK file of an Android app instead of an iOS app bundle. So as long as you have a stable internet connection, you should have no problem using Appetize.io.

Appetize.io has a free version where you get 100 minutes of screen time per month. Although you can buy a premium subscription to get more time and multiple concurrent sessions.

Ending words

Both of these methods are effective if your goal is to simply run an iOS application. However, the user experience may vary depending on the hardware you are using.

With that being said, the Cider emulator is much more practical if you are going to be using your Android phone to run iOS applications on a regular basis.
